Steelscape, Inc. produces metallic-coated and painted steel coils for the construction market in the United States and Canada. This facility in Richmond once produced over 250,000 metric tons of metal coated steel per year until it closed in 2006.

On May 31, 2002 Steelscape, Inc. purchased the Material Science Corp.’s (MSC) Pinole Point Steel Inc. plant in Richmond, California. The plant once produced 255,000 metric tons of metal-coated steel and 155,000 metric tons of painted steel yearly, however in 2006, the plant relocated.
